Who are SMART Tutoring?
SMART Tutoring are a small, Buckinghamshire based company. It was launched in 2017, by Jenny Cuggy; a qualified teacher with over 15years experience in the classroom- covering both state and preparatory education. Their goal is to instill confidence within each student, across a wide range of subjects.
SMART represents; Supportive, Motivating, Adaptable, Reliable and Tailored tutoring.
All our tutors have had enhanced DBS checks.
Which geographical areas does SMART Tutoring cover?
SMART Tutoring covers a wide range of areas including; Aston Clinton, Wendover, Tring, Aylesbury, Chesham, Amersham, The Chalfonts, Missenden, Berkhamsted, Beaconsfield and Prestwood.
What subjects/curriculum areas does SMART Tutoring cover?
SMART tutoring focuses on all subjects across the primary, and lower KS3, curriculum. Whilst also specialising in exam preparation. These include: English, Maths, Science, French, Spanish, 11+, ISEB and Common Entrance.
What age ranges does SMART Tutoring cover?
SMART Tutoring covers all age ranges from KS1, KS2 and Lower KS3.
How long do the sessions last?
All individual sessions are 1hr in length and they take place at the students home.
When and where do the sessions take place?
Sessions are designed around the school day. They run from 3.30pm-7.30pm on weekdays, 8.30am-1.30pm on Saturdays and 9am-12pm on Sundays. The tutoring takes place in the students' own home.
How are the sessions organised?
SMART Tutoring sessions are booked in termly slots. This includes 12 sessions, spread over a school term.
Can I book one off sessions?
One off sessions are currently not available during term time. However, holiday tutoring is available- please see holiday tutoring section.
How much do sessions cost?
Sessions start from £40 (KS1/KS2) or £45 (KS3) per hour. One term package will cost £480 (KS1/KS2) or £540 (KS3)- this is invoiced and payable in advance of the first session. Discounts are available if multiple terms are booked in advance.
Does SMART Tutoring offer additional/one-off holiday sessions?
